He manages the work of the energy law team at the Firm. He has over fifteen years of experience in legal advisory in the field of energy law, investments in renewable energy sources and energy trading.
He specializes in advising on energy law for energy companies, energy trading companies, energy and natural gas sellers, as well as energy-intensive and industrial consumers. He advises on the negotiation of strategic contracts for the sale of electricity and gas for industrial customers and PPAs for the collection of energy from renewable sources. Since 2017, he has been advising on the conclusion of Corporate PPA agreements on the Polish energy market. Legally advise consumers of energy from RES, energy trading companies and producers of energy from RES in negotiating Corporate PPA contracts in the physical delivery model and Corporate PPA based on financial settlement.
Has practical experience supported by open references, in 2022 advised Górażdże Cement SA on the conclusion of the CPPA – Corporate PPA agreement, providing green energy from the Polska III wind farm with an installed capacity of 132 MW. This is one of the largest Corporate PPAs concluded for electricity consumers located in Poland. In 2020, he provided legal advice on the conclusion of a 10-year CPPA (Corporate PPA) agreement covering the sale of electricity from a 64 MW photovoltaic farm located in Witnica. At that time, it was one of the largest Corporate PPAs concluded for electricity consumers located in Poland. In 2022, he advised FW Południe spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością in concluding a physical agreement for the sale of energy generated in a 5 MW wind farm to end users in the physical Corporate PPA model.
From the legal side, since 2014 he has built and still supervises the energy and gas sales department for the largest independent trading company currently (2020) having tens of thousands of recipients and the largest recipient of electricity from wind farms and photovoltaic installations in Poland.
He advises investors on the implementation of renewable energy projects, in particular wind farms and photovoltaic PV installations. She provides legal services from the beginning of the investment process (lease agreements for RES investments, conditions and connection agreements) to obtaining a concession for the production of energy from renewable sources (WEE). He has carried out several transactions for the purchase of wind farm projects and photovoltaic installations.
As part of everyday legal services, he advises Polish and foreign sellers of electricity and gas, producers of energy from RES and the largest industrial recipients in the field of energy law, in particular in the field of corporate PPAs. Ensures that trading companies and industrial customers comply with the provisions of the energy law in conducting licensed activities, in particular with regard to the performance of obligations in the field of redemption of property rights from certificates of origin, settlement of excise tax on electricity and compliance with concession obligations towards the Energy Regulatory Office, ARE, Customs Office, ACER, Ministry Energy and other state authorities.
He successfully represented investors before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, obtaining over a dozen licenses under the energy law, in particular the license for trade in electricity OEE and the license for trade in natural gas OPG and foreign trade in natural gas OGZ. He represented energy companies in numerous proceedings in the field of energy law before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office and SOKiK.
Last year, he advised on the conclusion of contracts for the sale of electricity with a total volume of over 800 GWh, natural gas for over 2,000 GWh and PPA contracts for the collection of electricity from RES installations with an installed capacity of almost 1.5 GW.
In the past, a competitor of the Olympic Team in the 400 meters run. Currently, he has not broken his ties with sport and takes part in MTB marathons and duathlons.
